The speech is almost 40 minutes long and regardless of whether you are a democrat or republican, Barack Obama is addressing the issues in a very difficult and nuanced way. But it is based in his honesty and intelligence.

His speech is risky. But that reminds me of Seth Godin’s idea – safe is risky. What Obama is doing is a risk that most public figures will not take. Perhaps that is what will separate him from the competition.
